Uvita Beach

Playas Uvita, Bahia and Bellena all make up the Whale's tale.
Uvita BeachBetween Playa and Dominical is Bahia or the Whales Tale beach. At low tide one can walk out to the distal extension of the whale's and at certain times can also snorkel. You will need to follow the tide charts to determine when you can walk out to the whale's tail.

The local municipality is in the process of declaring three beaches to have free access and the others to have paid access. When you arrive here we will be happy to guide you to the beach of your choice with current guidelines.

Uvita aereial view -the whale-These beaches do not have life guards (something to be on guard for in all of Costa Rica) and there are rip tides. It is important to receive instructions in appropriate beach protocol and how keep safe. For your safety please inquire before swimming .
